Significance Of Tableware Cleanliness And Sterilization

Aug 28, 2023

When we sit down for a meal, we focus on the delicious dishes before us, but we might give less thought to the tableware we use. It's essential to understand that the cleanliness of our tableware significantly impacts the safety of food, and then impacts our health. Tableware must be cleaned, dried and disinfected to meet the requirements of food safety standards.

1. Cleaning

(1) Traditional hand washing

Traditional hand washing can clean the inherent residue on the tableware and achieve the "surface cleaning" of the tableware. Because the greasy dirt can not be cleaned effectively, tableware only looks clean and needs to be cleaned many times, which is a waste of time and resources.

(2) Commercial dishwasher washing

Compared with traditional hand washing, commercial dishwashers can reduce the damage of tableware, shorten the cleaning time, have less energy consumption and use high temperature cleaning in the whole process, which can fully remove oil and achieve a full range of cleaning.

2. Drying

After cleaning, the dishes need to be dried. Whether it is natural drying or placed in a dryer for drying, these two ways are obviously not economical, and the tableware may be contaminated in the process. Broadyea's commercial dishwashers can solve the problem, with a washing and drying integration, can reduce the secondary pollution of tableware and save a lot of time to achieve the ideal drying state.

3. Disinfection

(1) Physical disinfection

After cleaning, the tableware should be disinfected and sterilized so that the bacteria and viruses present in the tableware can be effectively killed. In physical disinfection, steam, heating and boiling and infrared disinfection can be taken, general bacteria and viruses will be killed at temperatures above 80°C.

(2) Chemical disinfection

In addition to physical disinfection, tableware can also be chemically disinfected. By using chemical disinfectant to disinfect tableware, the virus and bacteria remaining on the tableware surface can be completely killed and the disinfection effect can be improved.
